Mission
The 2010 Commerce Centre was created to inform, educate and connect businesses and communities to the economic opportunities created by the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
Objectives
The 2010 Commerce Centre strives to deliver a number of core services that will assist companies to develop new skills and business relationships that will lead to increased trade and investment prior to and long after the Games.
The 2010 Commerce Centre’s main objectives are:
- working with other key agencies in facilitating business connections between B.C. companies and national and international companies related to Olympic and Paralympic Games opportunities;
- connecting businesses to Games-related opportunities;
- assisting businesses to build capacity through a series of 2010 workshops and business events;
- providing a forum for businesses to develop new relationships that will lead to expanded trade and investment opportunities; and
- fostering business relationships by hosting events and providing facilities for use to B.C. economic development organizations to help leverage the Games.
