Province of BC 2010 Business Summit (2008)
The Province of BC 2010 Business Summit was a national-scale business event which aimed to connect local businesses with the opportunities associated with the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. The one-day event brought together global leaders involved with the 2010 Winter Games as they advised businesses of their needs during the Games. Businesses from various industries ranging from hospitality to broadcasting were able to hear, first-hand, how they can take part in the unprecedented opportunities.
2010 Aboriginal Business Summit (2007)
The 2010 Aboriginal Business Summit brought together First Nations, Inuit and Métis business and community leaders to identify the unparalleled opportunities that will be generated by the 2010 Winter Games. The speakers engaged Aboriginal businesses by discussing the ways in which they can be involved in supplying various areas such as merchandising, tourism and venue construction. The summit was a success with over 470 participants, including official delegates, media, speakers, special guests, and sponsors.
